NOTES: The Forks is a dam controlled water way that has a guaranteed 4,800 cfs during the summer from 10am to 1pm. The Forks is at the confluence of Kennebec and Dead rivers which is between halfway between Portland and Quebec City. The upper half is Class IV, while the lower half is a float trip with a few Class II and Class III rapids.
