Conasauga River Fly Fishing (Georgia) Map
COUNTRY: US   STATE: Georgia   (Printer Version)
REGION: Chattahoochee National Forest   TITLE: Conasauga River
NOTES: East of Eton and Crandall, the Conasauga River has an abundance of brown trout, brook trout and wild rainbow trout. The 15 mile stretch through the Cohutta Wilderness Area is considered one of the top trout streams in the US. However, it is very challenging to get to this section and to fish along it. The good news is you should have the river to yourself if you make it. For the most part, the trout will be around 10 inches long, but 20 inch rainbows and 5 pound browns have been snagged.

Additional printed reading material on Conasauga River fly fishing can be found in Trout Fishing In North Georgia by from Jimmy Jacobs.
