Brodhead Creek Fly Fishing (Pennsylvania) Map
COUNTRY: US   STATE: Pennsylvania   (Printer Version)
TITLE: Brodhead Creek
NOTES: Near Stroudsburg in Delaware Water Gap, the Brodhead Creek is a nice trout stream near the Delaware Water Gap. You can expect to find mainly stocked trout, with an occasional wild trout, in the 14 inch long range.

There are two main fly-fishing sections. The upper section is from the SR1002 bridge downstream to the town of Analomink. There is some parking near the SR1002 bridge. You will find large pools, riffles and runs. Below Analomink downstream to East Stroudsburg, there is a long channel and much streamside construction. The lower section from East Stroudsburg downstream to the Delaware River confluence passes through a scenic gorge up to 200 feet deep. The challenging access means there is little fishing pressure. The fast rapids oxygenate the water providing excellent habitat.

Additional printed reading material on Brodhead Creek fly fishing can be found in Flyfishers Guide To Pennsylvania by from Dave Wolfe.
