Southeast of Jackson near Pinedale, the Wind River Range gives birth to numerous fly fishing havens. From hundreds of alpine lakes to mountain streams and rivers, this place is too large to fish in a lifetime. Make sure to explore the Green River, the Wind River, the Bighorn River.

The Green River is a medium-sized river coming out of the foothills and winding across the high plains. While fly fishing the Green River, you can expect to find plenty of rainbow trout, cuttbows, cutthroat trout and brown trout. The gray drakes are big in July and tend to bring the big brown up.

Overall, Wind River Range is the 4th most popular fly fishing river of all 28 fly fishing spots in Wyoming.
