Southeast of Heber City near Fruitland, the Strawberry River is a small, but scenic tailwater river that runs through a sandstone canyon. The river is home to rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and brown trout. Plus the rugged terrain is habitat for mountain lions and black bears.

Southeast of Fruitland, Strawberry River Road runs parallel to the river and provides access.

Overall, Strawberry River is the 5th most popular fly fishing river of all 12 fly fishing spots in Utah.
