Northeast of Manchester near Raymond, the Lamprey River provides good trout fly fishing opportunties. The Lamprey River is accessible from the Raymond/Deerfield town line to the head of tide. The Lamprey River is known for its rainbow trout, brook trout, and brown trout. There are some catch-and-release sections from mid-October to early April.
This river is managed by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department for trout fishing. There is no closed season.
