Northeast of Manchester near Raymond, the Lamprey River is best known for its rainbow trout, brook trout, and brown trout fly fishing. The Lamprey River is accessible from the Raymond/Deerfield town line to the head of tide. There are some catch-and-release sections from mid-October to early April.

This river is managed by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department for trout fishing. There is no closed season.

Overall, Lamprey River is the 4th most popular fly fishing river of all 19 fly fishing spots in New Hampshire.
