Northeast of Ellijay near Blue Ridge, the Lower Toccoa River offers 15 miles of tailwater flyfishing with little usage. The Lower Toccoa River starts at the tailwater below Blue Ridge Dam. There are plenty of deep pools separated by shoals where you can find the stocked rainbow and brown trout. If you plan to float, keep in mind there are periodic unscheduled dam releases.
