Little Colorado River Fly Fishing

Southeast of Show Low near Greer, the Little Colorado River provides a solitary fly fishing experience immersed in nature. The Little Colorado River is a small cascading stream with several pools. The headwaters originate at Baldy Peak in the White Mountains and the Little Colorado runs north all the way to the Grand Canyon. This river is known for its native Apache trout, brown trout and, brook trout and rainbow trout.

When you get there, you may be surprised by the number of junior fishermen near the parking areas; You do not need to worry since very few every hike more than a few feet from the car.

Overall, Little Colorado River is the 4th most popular fly fishing river of all 10 fly fishing spots in Arizona.
