Rio de Los Pinos Fly Fishing

The 7th most popular fly fishing river in New Mexico.

Southeast of Cuba near San Miguel, the Rio de Los Pinos is a 40 foot wide gentle river that is perfect for beginning fly casters. It is perfect for wading being rarely more than 4 feet deep. It is known for its stocked brown trout and rainbow trout.

Note: When fly fishing in New Mexico, you must have a valid fishing license in your possession at all times. There is a combined daily bag limit of five for brown trout, brook trout, rainbow trout, lake trout, konanee salmon and cutthroat trout (a maximum of two).

Overall, Rio de Los Pinos is the 7th most popular fly fishing river of all 13 fly fishing spots in New Mexico.
