Northeast of Ashtabula near Conneaut, the Conneaut Creek is popular with fly fisherman for steelhead trout.
There are four primary access points: Conneaut breakwall, Conneaut harbor, Woodworth Road boat ramp and Lakeville Park.
One popular place to access Conneaut Creek is at Horton Road Bridge. The property above, under and below the Horton Road Bridge is posted. You can only access and fish this area with the lands owners permission. The permission is annual and must be renewed the following year.
