Ramapo River Fly Fishing

The 6th most popular fly fishing river in New Jersey.

Near Mahwah, the Ramapo River is a good early season fly fishing river that is reasonably close to New York City. The river runs 10 miles within New Jersey and has several deep pools and nice riffles.

Access to the Ramapo River is provided by SR202. A good spot to check out is across from Ramapo College, just behind the baseball fields.

Overall, Ramapo River is the 6th most popular fly fishing river of all 10 fly fishing spots in New Jersey.
