Crystal River Fly Fishing

The 44th most popular fly fishing river in Colorado.

South of Glenwood Springs and Carbondale, the Crystal River starts up near Schoefield Pass and rushes down through Crystal and Marble on the way down to the Roaring Fork confluence.

Access to the upper Crystal River is provided by CR3 which leads to Marble. The lower Crystal River is paralleled by SR133 and there are many turnouts.

Note: After a long day of wading in the cold river, try a soak in the informal hot spring pools just north of milepost 55 on SR133 (look for the large turnout).

Overall, Crystal River is the 44th most popular fly fishing river of all 47 fly fishing spots in Colorado.
