Delaware River Fly Fishing

East of Topeka and north of Lawrence, the Delaware River offers local fly fishermen a nice tailwater fishery.

To reach the trailhead from Topeka, head north on US70, head north on US75 for a mile or so to US24. Head east on US24 for about 15 miles to milepost 381. Turn left heading north on Thompsonville Road for 1.1 miles. Veer right on Spillway Road heading east for 0.5 miles. There is parking just below the dam.

Overall, Delaware River is the 2nd most popular fly fishing river of all 2 fly fishing spots in Kansas.
