Southwest of Laramie and south of Encampment in the Upper North Platte River valley, the Hog Park Creek is known for great fly fishing. Starting along the Continental Divide, the Hog Park Creek is a mountain stream that slow meanders east across a meadow and through Hog Park Dam on its way to join the Encampment River. The deep bend pools and undercut banks are the perfect home for big brown trout.
Overall, Hog Park Creek is the 22nd most popular fly fishing river of all 28 fly fishing spots in Wyoming. Several of the better fly fishing rivers are nearby Hog Park Creek including French Creek, Encampment River and Big Creek.
