North of Syracuse and west of Fulton, the Sterling Creek is becoming more popular with fly fishermen. The creek flow from the town of Sterling northwest into Lake Ontario north of Fair Haven. The river is known for its Fall and Winter runs of steelhead, lake brown trout and salmon.
