West of Toronto near Fergus, the Upper Grand River is popular tailwater with fly fishermen for world class brown trout. This is an excellent tailwater fishery. A good place to access is just below Shand Dam at Lake Belwood. There are great hatches of black caddis, tan caddis and cranefly.
