Grande Ronde River Fly Fishing

The 11th most popular fly fishing river in Washington.

South of Spokane and Clarkston, the Grande Ronde River is popular for fly fishing. This freestone river has cut a deep canyon through the basalt flows. It is known for excellent stonefly and caddis hatches. While summer is good for rainbow trout, the real attraction on the Grande Ronde River is the steelhead which run from October to mid-April.

The access for fly fishing on the Grande Ronde River is best off Grande Ronde Road that heads west off SR129.
