Little Elkhart River Fly Fishing

The 6th most popular fly fishing river in Indiana.

In Elkhart County and Lagrange County, the Little Elkhart River is a stocked trout fly fishing river.

One of the more popular sections for fly fishing the Little Elkhart River is from CR43 downstream to CR16 (except in Riverbend Park) which has year-round catch-and-release restrictions with artificial lures or flies only.

Note: All trout streams in Indiana are catch-and-release from January 1st to April 14th. Stocked trout streams are closed the last two weeks of April. Open season limits are a total of five trout per day with a daily max of one brown trout.

Overall, Little Elkhart River is the 6th most popular fly fishing river of all 15 fly fishing spots in Indiana.
