Trail Creek Fly Fishing

The 14th most popular fly fishing river in Indiana.

In Laporte County, the Trail Creek is known for trout fly fishing.

There are two good access points for fly fishing on Trail Creek. First, try Creek Ridge Park on CR400N about 5 miles east of US421. Second, there is access off Johnson-Wozniak Road about a mile south of US20.

Note: All trout streams in Indiana are catch-and-release from January 1st to April 14th. Stocked trout streams are closed the last two weeks of April. Open season limits are a total of five trout per day with a daily max of one brown trout.

Overall, Trail Creek is the 14th most popular fly fishing river of all 15 fly fishing spots in Indiana.
